Changes at alt|studio

Dear Client,

I am writing to inform you of recent changes at alt|studio, and how these changes will affect you as a customer. For the past three years, alt|studio has operated successfully as a partnership between two undergraduate university students. When we began, our goal was to provide a better and more cost-effective service than we were experiencing ourselves as website developers. The hosting side of the company has never returned a significant profit but has worked well as a platform to bring in gainful programming and development work.
Last year, Jason graduated from university and has recently started fulltime employment at a Web Development firm just outside London. I (Jon) have begun my final year at university and now, due to time constraints, we have decided to discontinue the hosting side of the company.

“How will this affect me as a customer?”

Hopefully the impact on existing customers will be minimal; we have come to an agreement with Cube Media Solutions Ltd who will effectively take over all of our clients and take responsibility for technical support. Pre-paid hosting will continue on the same or an equivalent package. Domain control will also be handed over. We will be working with their technicians over the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transitional period and be on hand to answer any queries you may have.

“Is there anything I need to do as a customer?”

If your domain is currently controlled by alt|studio, we will make the necessary changes.
If you control your domain privately, you will need to make the following changes do your DNS record:

Primary DNS: ns1.cube-media.com
Secondary DNS: ns2.cube-media.com

“How will this affect me as a sponsored client?”

All sponsorships will discontinue when Cube Media take over. The option to carry on with a paid hosting plan will be made available.

“What’s next for alt|studio?”

alt|studio will continue to run exclusively as a website development & consultancy firm headed by Jon.
